General Motors Lordstown Complex is the proud maker of the Chevrolet CRUZE. Lordstown is among the highest volume single line vehicle assembly facilities in the world with total production at over 16 million vehicles since production started in 1966. On September 8, 2010, the complex officially launched and started shipping the Chevrolet Cruze which is today among the world’s best-selling vehicles. Lordstown has built over 1.3 million Cruzes since launch. On June 24, 2015, the Next Generation Cruze was revealed to the world in Detroit. Lordstown begins shipping the All New 2016 Cruze in Spring 2016.
Each year, Lordstown employees contribute over $1 million annually to various community causes including local United Way chapters, March of Dimes of Northern Ohio, Toys for Kids and Care & Share to help families in need. Click here to view video.

Chevrolet today introduced the all-new, 2016 Cruze – a larger and lighter, more efficient and more sophisticated evolution of the brand’s best-selling global car.
The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze in North America is offered with a new Ecotec 1.4L turbocharged engine that features direct injection to help offer an EPA-estimated 42 mpg on the highway with an available six-speed automatic transmission. Standard stop/start technology contributes to efficiency in stop-and-go driving. The new 1.4L turbo is SAE-certified at 113 kW (153 hp) and 240 Nm of torque (177 lb-ft), using regular unleaded fuel (RON 91).
Chevrolet Cruze, the brand’s best-selling car around the world, has surpassed 3.5 million global sales, a milestone that comes as Chevrolet prepares to introduce the next-generation Cruze on June 24.
The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was named the 2014 Fleet Car of the Year by Automotive Fleet and Business Fleet magazines. Fleet managers from both large and small fleets and covering every fleet segment selected the Cruze as the winner, besting 48 other cars.
General Motors’ new 2.2 megawatt ground-mounted solar array will be complete by the end of 2014 at its Lordstown Complex, home of the Chevrolet Cruze. When the last of more than 8,500 solar panels are in place, it will be GM’s largest solar installation in the Western Hemisphere.
